OUT OF BOUNDS: (White stakes, white fence posts, stone wall #18) Right of 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Fairways. Back of 13, 14, 18 Greens. Back of 10 Tee. WATER HAZARD (Yellow stakes) Fronting No. 5; Front of No. 6 Tee. LATERAL WATER HAZARD (Red stakes or Red lines) Left of 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 17 Fairways. Right of 5 Fairway. Behind 3. 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 Greens. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Orange topped stakes or White lines) As marked by stakes or lines. HOLES 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 16, 17. Lateral water hazard vs. adjacent greens. Location of these greens to adjacent lateral boundaries usually precludes strict adherence to USGA rule when ball enters hazard to side of green or behind green. Therefore dropping nearer the hole is permitted where it is clearly impossible to avoid doing so, but only within two club lengths of entry point. USGA rule may be applied In such cases, players option. (No. 5 island: Ball must land on the surface of island, not the bank in front, for point of entry to be on the Island. Otherwise, play from point of entry makai of bridge. RELIEF AREAS Sprinkler heads and valve boxes, definite ground cracks, lined areas, planted flowered areas: A ball lie in or touch these conditions, or they interfere with stance or swing, ball may be lifted, no penalty, and dropped within one club length of nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole. YOUNG TREES Orange staked or flagged trees - Ball resting near trees so marked, drop one club length from branches, no nearer the hole. (No protection of trees from intended flight of ball.) WINTER RULES (When in effect) "Through the Green" Ball may be lifted, cleaned and placed within 6 inches of where it lay, not nearer the hole. "Placed" is lifting and placing by hand. PUTTING GREEN Edging groove. If ball lie in an edging groove on a putting green, the player may, without penalty, lift the ball, clean it and place it out of the groove in the nearest position to where it lay, whether on or off the putting green, not nearer the hole. Groove defines edge of green. BE A 90 DEGREE DRIVER Carts are to be driven on the cart paths or rough until opposite your ball, then drive straight to it. After hitting, return to cart path or rough. Practice good golfing habits ... Average golf round should be 3 hours 45 minutes.
